ABSTRACT

In this study we try to explore the concept of Barriers in conducting research for people with Dementia in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on Dementia and its relation with people diagnosed with it along with the hindrances and problems that occur in the context of conducting research. The research also analyzes many aspects of problems associated with Dementia and tries to gauge its effect on the patients and researchers involved in the entire program. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for the barriers the cause dementia and tries to describe the overall effect of Dementia over its patients.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

Dementia implies the phenomenon where a continuous and iterated condition of memory loss begins to reside and stay with the subject. Generally people consider and mix it with Alzheimer's, but there are several different categories of distinction and differentiation that could be undertaken for the purpose and analysis of identifying Dementia in patients. This paper helps and aids the occurrence of Dementia and accounts of disturbances and hindrances that may occur in accordance to dealing with patients diagnosed of this condition.

Background of the study

For undertaking the background of the study, one needs to analyze the condition of patients. Generally encountering such patients who are diagnosed with Dementia have severe changes and disruptions that occur in their health and brain functioning. Therefore keeping track of their ability, memory and attempts to make use of their brain power is an extremely difficult task for them that grow harder with time.

Problem Statement

The problem statement for the study undertaken is to attempt and identify the factors that cause problems in dealing with people having Dementia and all its related categories.
