This paper will have a discussion on the evolution of justice and security in the twenty first century which might balance the rights and freedoms with vigilance and sufficient authority to protect the citizens in a free society, while respecting the constitutional guarantees concerning individual rights. There should be a balance in the administration of justice and security system in a society as everyone needs security as well as justice to live with equal rights in a country.

The paper will review the cumulative issues which concern the legal environment in which justice and security administration operates. It will also evaluate the changes in technology and mass communication with their effects on justice and security areas. Later on, the paper will evaluate the issues involved with individual rights versus the need of justice system and security for maintaining the order and public safety.

People in the society have been complaining regarding the injustices they face for the last few years. The criminal justice system of the society has a higher rate of injustices now. This reality has made it hard for the nations to respect the rights of citizens and offenders. Offenders have been treated in a different way than normal people of the society. These offenders are also not allowed to have equal rights as normal people. In fact, at the time of punishment, they are given harsh punishments just like the capital punishment (Carrera, 2007).

Evolution of security and justice has changed a lot of things in general. The security and justice have evolved mostly in the twenty first century. The reason behind this evolution was new technologies and laws that had allowed the nations to develop new forms of promotion of justice and punishment. This evolution has also added more rights to the constitution of the countries for creating balance. Governments of the countries have passed the constitution for granting the rights of justice and security to their citizens.

The establishment of ??justice and security in the society aimed to make sure the free movement of citizens in society and offer a high level of protection to people. This establishment encompasses the policy areas which range from management of external borders to the judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters. It also includes policies on asylum and immigration, police cooperation and the fight against crime, which includes fight against organized crime, terrorism, and trafficking in human beings, drugs, etc (Bruce, 2003).

Every person in a country needs to be treated equally and must be given equal rights as others. Therefore, this is the duty of the law enforcement agencies and their administration departments to provide justice and security to everyone in the country.
