In the era of 21st Century, there has been much advancement in the technology. The modes of communication have changed and mostly have transformed into digitalization. The following essay is going to analyze the digital storytelling and the video narratives and its impact on the audiences. The action plan is pretty simple that will follow the flow of a general introduction to the digital storytelling and the video. The term digital storytelling is due to Joe Lambert and Dana Atchley in the 90s that had built up an interactive multimedia within a theatrical performance where on a large screen in the background showing images and videos of life stories.
The group of artists, educators and media professionals that gradually formed around them has managed over the years to broaden the areas of intervention of digital storytelling in many contexts, ranging from schools to businesses, from art to politics.

Introduction
Digital storytelling (DST) has become popular, and there has been a lot of literature about what constitutes a digital story, and how it is used. Digital storytelling and videos have similar educational purposes in that they are both used as pedagogical tools in teaching. This common linkage may be contested as some digital storytelling (DST) professionals that follow the actual definition of a digital story. It holds the components of DST that is a multinational technology that uses the images, voices and sound. The time duration estimates 2-3 minutes that should incorporate the seven elements of point of view, a dramatic question, emotional content, the gift of your voice, the power of the soundtrack, economy and pacing. (Robin 2006; Lambert 2009; Meadows, Kidd 2009; Hayes 2011; Pena and Almaguer 2012). Video has been described as electronically capturing, recording, processing, storing, transmitting, and reconstructing a sequence of still images representing scenes in motion (Balakrishnan.2012). thus, the Storytelling has always been part of the human being. A new approach of Storytelling is the "Digital Storytelling". It combines the telling of Stories with the use of digital media. Creating a Digital Story urges the competent handling of a variety of digital media. Such Media skills are applicable in the information and knowledge society important skills, especially for teachers.
