I have decided to start a group for single parents on Wednesdays and Saturdays at my church from noon to three o'clock in the afternoon. The name of my froup is SPU (Single Parents United).The objective of the group is to find out how to make nurturing surroundings for children devoid of a two parent family. After the achievement of the 1st group session with my efficient team members I would like to summarize the group session by first expressing my best wishes for my team in this assignment
Group Dynamics
Group dynamics defines the behavior of any group, for instance different types attitudes of the individuals involved in any group. The dynamics of our group are not ideal as it has some individual who are much more competent while some of them are not much more proficient in work progress (Jacobs et.al, 2012).
Here, I want to discuss one of the members of my group, as he was not much focused toward the subject but my constant efforts to get him involved worked fortunately. He has a lack of confidence this was the reason of his behavior. I encourage him very much because to me, leadership is the art of encouraging people to be active towards attaining a common goal, and I believe this explanation of leadership, I believe, confines the leadership fundamentals of motivation and preparation. Successful leadership is based on plans, ideas and thoughts, but would not go on until and unless those plans and ideas can be exchanged to each and every member of your group in order to engage them. Simply we can say that a leader is a director who is actually an inspiration for its team members for the achieving defined goals (Amagoh, 2009).
Stage of Group Development
There was a constant development in my group from week to week. My encouragement to my group members was resulted in a very good way. There was an increase in their self confidence. I know that the leadership includes discovering ways to encourage team members or workers to meet their goals and objectives.
