Three on-going plans are updating the United States' (U.S.) military's schemes and equipment: modernization, recapitalization, and transformation. The infantry needs an incorporated method to work out how and when to make conclusions about the three. Arbitrary timelines are an insufficient approach. Future Force capabilities should be integrated into the force as they are operationally needed, technologically feasible, and fiscally affordable. Such conclusions are exactly associated to the modernization and recapitalization of extant systems (Paul 2001). Additionally, these conclusions are influenced by the making allowance for method, force structure alterations, and the procurement process.
