Are Athletes Better Role Models than Politicians?

Introduction

Children may imitate the positive behavior an athlete practices in his sport, such as following rules, striving for improvement and teamwork. Athletic training and improving performance demonstrate focused, persistent and goal-oriented behavior that may positively influence a child's behavior. Politicians should avoid becoming inappropriate role models for voters by displaying their fashion statements and family struggles in the media. For credible legislative information, resort to government-funded websites, rather than a Facebook page. In my opinion athletes are better role models than politicians.
