Introduction

The topic under study consists of addressing problems that an organization is facing. The organization is Ardor's day spa in where i am a consultant and, the president of the organization has asked me to prepare a background paper on the results of my research findings and recommendations to improve group productivity in the organization. The paper includes an explanation of the organization, highlighting the problems that exist, explaining how each problem could impact the group's productivity, making recommendations resolve each of the problem and suggestions for company-wide training program.

Ardor's day spa is one of the finest centers in the hospitality industry. Founded in the year 2010 in Pane, It has an excellent team of experts with collective experience of more than 50 years. The staff has integrated experiences of spa, wellness, hotel and other hospitality industries with exceptional capabilities of providing extraordinary services to clients. Each staff member possesses immense knowledge in the area which enables them to maintain all the systems of the business effectively and efficiently. Under Ardor's umbrella, the key service that it provides is Spa operations solutions. It is Ardor's most prestigious business. Under this operation, Ardor provides services such as training, recruitment, project management, and product supply for spa business in India and abroad.

The aim of developing spa division was to provide holistic solutions to all the clients in the area ranging from the planning stage to development and implementation of spa. The organization's vision to make every in the community feel satisfied by providing services that touch everyone's heart, making people feel valued for the money they spent and ultimately improving the community. To achieve its vision, Ardor ensures to have practical tools for accomplishing all the discerning ends.

Although, at the individual level, every member of the staff posses immense expertise and knowledge in diverse areas but, still certain issues exists that creates bit of issues and hindrances for Ardor to seek its vision. As a consultant, through the research, I have identified the problems that exist within the organization, these are listed as below.

Communication problems among group members

Lack of cohesiveness in groups with diverse members

Excessive intergroup conflict

After analyzing the issues, the next task is to explain about how each of the problems could impact the group's productivity. All of the issues will be analyzed sequentially. Let us first address the issue of role conflicts within groups. Role conflict can arise due to several issues within the group. Clashes of interest, differences in values, actions and views, are few of the elements that result in conflict.

Role conflict within groups as one of the problems refers to a state of unresolved problems between the individuals. One of the major problems that arise due to role conflict is the disagreement among people which results in the imbalance of power in the organization.
