Cultural Analysis

The culture of Russia which is very old is manly linked with the ethnic Russians. The Russian culture is very rich indeed, and can take several pages of a book to be jot down, but then again it will be left with something or the other. The culture of Russia is full of philosophy, literature, classical music, architecture, paintings, and cinema. The culture of Russia so far has had a very heavy impact on the entire culture of the world and has so far very much emphasized on technology.

The culture of Russia started from that of the east slaves, with their pagan beliefs and specific way of life in the wooded areas of Eastern Europe. The Russian ancestors, who were the structure of the Russian culture, were very much influenced by the neighboring countries. It was after the fall of Constantinople in 1453; Russia remained the largest Orthodox nation in the world and claimed succession to the Byzantine legacy in the form of the Third Rome idea. The Russian culture with its roots being very strong and dominant, it was very much influenced by the European culture. The adoption of the European culture was called off once the communist ideology took over the Russian culture.

As per today, the Russian culture heritage has been ranked on the 7th number in the nation Brands Index, and this has been based on the people amounting to about 20,000 who were interviewed randomly. Russia opened its gate to the globalization very late, and it is because of this late step that a majority of the people were unaware about the tourism, culture etc in Russia.

About 100 languages are spoken in Russia by their ethnic groups which number close to 160, and by a research carried out in the year 2002, it was found out that as many as 142.6 million people spoke the Russian language; tatar remained on 2nd with 5.3 million speakers and Ukrainian on 3rd with 1.8 million speakers. The government of Russia has made Russian as the official and national language of Russia, but the people enjoy the right to speak what ever language they want to.

So far, it is the literature of Russia that is considered to be the most influential and developed in the world. The Russian literature is considered to be as old the 10th century and in the 18th century it was the work carried out by Mikhail which has very much helped to preserve the Russian literature and infuse it in the entire world.
