It identifies that how exceptionalities exist in the speeding society. The research also highlights how stereotypes influence the life of certain people and limit them from living a regular life. Introduction
Based on the hardships faced by the Black people in Jackson the movie” The Help” is based on the conditions that were common during the 1960's in Mississippi (Maslin, 2009). The story mainly portrays the discriminations and the difficulties that were faced by the blacks. Skeeter on the other hand is a white southern society girl who is not very pleased with the conditions faced by the black women. Skeeter returns back from college in order to become a successful writer and decides to write about the contributions made by the black women in nurturing the prominent southern families.
The movie further continues by sharing different experiences of the black women and the efforts made by Skeeter to eliminate discrimination and achieve racial equality. Skeeter is rather different to others. She studied because she liked it and dreamt of becoming a writer one day.

Part A: Decision
The character of Skeeter on the movie is deeply influenced by the social factors of the society she lives in. as she witnesses constant mistreatments of the black women in the house or rich white families. This develops the character of Skeeter and encourages her to fight for the rights of the black women and help them in achieving their rights. The movie portrays the character of Skeeter as a 23 years old collage girl with a cotton trust fund. Although she belonged to a wealthy family but she was different from the other girls of her age. She never paid much attention to her appearance and looks as she found fighting for the rights of black women more interested. The movie confirms that with passion and hard work societal changes can take place and certain stereotypes can be removed. Such hopes encouraged Skeeter throughout the movie to fight for the rights of the black women. She decided to write bases on real stories and true experiences of the black women, as she believed that her book would create awareness among people and will help in catering the problem.
It is quite certain from the movie that Skeeter's character was immensely influenced by the societal condition of the society in those days. Her efforts clearly reflected unacceptability and oppositions of the societal norms present in those days.
