Discussion

We will be discussing each of the elements involved in the story individually. The factors may include, biological, social, and cultural.

In biological element, the in-depth analysis may include, sense of deprivation that is a psychological issue, then sense of fear, stress, it may also have after effects such as involvement of child in nefarious activities. When a child starts growing up, one should have exceptional care from parents, specially love and moral support from mother, and other support from the father. In this story, the child is deprived of one of the main support of father, due to death of his father in a very early age. Afterwards, his family includes mother and three siblings excluding him. He is the elder one in his siblings, though his age does not justify his maturity, but he has taken all the responsibilities on his tiny shoulders.

The sense of deprivation has emerged at a very early age due to the attitude, and behavior of his mother towards him and other children. His mother used to take drugs and alcoholic, she was busy in nefarious activities (Bless & Fiedler, 2006, 78); she was not even responsible enough to provide basic necessities. She has behaved in a self centered way, she never thought of her children future, love, and requirements. She was trying to overcome her own frustration by using wrong doings (Harmon, 2001, 237)..

The children were not comforted with anything in their life. The habit of taking drugs and alcohol in her mother depressed them quite often. Most of the time, she was not in her senses. She refused to take any of the responsibilities of her children, as it is energy for a child when he or she has support from parents (Harmon, 2001, 237)..

The children were in condition of fear and deprivation. They could not even talk to their mother on any issue in their life. They were not supposed to discuss anything with their mother. The mother used to be busy in her own activities, she used to sit till late night with her own friends, and she did not even cook for her children. In the morning, when children used to leave for ...
