Press Statement about Expansion of Leeds-Bradford Airport

This is to state that the Leeds Bradford Airport is commencing its expansion plan as the plans have been approved. The estimated cost of the expansion is £28 million. After the proposals of the expansion were discussed in a series of meetings, the plan has been given a go ahead by the council. The genuine aim of an airport is to provide facilities on both airside and landside to accomplish limited waiting time for next flight and manage in accordance with airlines' needs. This will add on passenger satisfaction. This suggests a powerful coordination of numerous undertakings and partners both on the landside and airside.

The airport will be given a two storey extension and internal improvement in the existing terminal. A larger queue area, more support offices and enlarged security facilities are included in the expansion. The two-storey extension will give around 4,600 sqm of accommodation, of which 2,300 sqm will be provided at ground-floor level to improve the concourse, check-in and security facilities, and 2,300 sqm at first-floor level to provide a departure lounge and retail link.

This expansion also includes more than 40 newly constructed shops, beverages and foods outlets. It also includes a combined heat and power facility, new boarding gate pier, an upgraded network airport road and more than 19 new parking stands for aircrafts.Part 2

Argument in Favor of Expansion

International Airport Leeds-Bradford is located between the cities of Leeds and Bradford in West Yorkshire, England .The expansion of the Leeds-Bradford Airport is considered as an investment for the future. This new terminal includes more than 40 newly constructed shops, beverages and foods outlets. A vast amount of space is given for retail and leisure activities which will contain both national and International brands. For many people this expansion is an excellent future investment in UK and has laid the foundation for better growth and prosperity for the state. This expansion of the airport will bring with itself a wide range of employment opportunities for the citizens. Many unemployed people can gain employment because of this expansion. It is estimated that in 2016 passenger traffic airport will reach 5.1 million passengers a year, the thunder of the freight traffic will increase significantly. This will benefit the airport as it will increase the revenues. The expansion of the airport will create jobs and new business opportunities in the region. It will serve more than 35 million passengers a year.

Due to the expansion more than 1000 new jobs vacancies have been created and the terminal has improved the travelling experience of the Airport's users for the years to come. The passengers wanted more facilities and the Airport has provided them those facilities which has expanded and improved the travelling experience. This has increased the customer satisfaction.
