Introduction

Everyone has heard the saying; money makes the world go round. However, truth of the matter is that its oil, which makes the world go round. Oil is one of the most sought after natural resources in the current world. It is being used in almost every and all industries. From vehicles to factories, the main ingredient needed to operate heavy machinery is oil. Unfortunately, oil though was abundant during the time when these machines were created (which lead to it being the chief ingredient for their operation), it, like all natural resources is finite. The consumption rate has far exceeded the natural oil creation rate, and additionally, the use of oil a huge variety of negative side effects such as pollution, environment damage, etc.

The world is fast approaching the time when oil sources are reaching complete depletion. Even now countries are waging wars for the control of the remaining sources of oil. Even now some conspiracy theorists say the whole War on Terror waged in Iraq, was simply an excuse for America to gain control of their oil sources. Similarly, Saudi Arabia is hosts the highest number of rich people, simply because it has vast sources of oil. Still, a saturation point will be reached and the world will finally be without oil. In the 2030, the world might see time when there will finally be no oil.

Companies like Shell, Caltex and many more, which deal exclusively in high-grade motor oil for their consumers' cars would either go belly up, or would join the rising band-wagon of alternate energy sources. Similarly, the economies of the world shall be huge influenced. The current economies are mostly oil driven and the resource is becoming as precious as its weight in diamonds or even gold (Adams, 2007). However, in the time when there is absolutely no oil left, the economies shall experience a great liberation from one of the most influential factors. Countries like Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern states will lose their importance. As mentioned before, Saudi has the highest number of rich people that is the Arabian Sheikhs. They are rich because of their oil deposits. But those deposits will have run dry by this time and the country like all others will join in the rat race to find and produce other goods or resources to maintain their financial position.

Alternative energy source field will experience tremendous amount of growth, quite before this time. Even now, a huge variety of alternative energy sources such as Solar Energy, Biomass Energy, Wind Energy, Hydrogen and other energy sources like hydropower energy and Geothermal Energy shall be fully researched and perfected (economist, 2012).

Solar energy which is used currently for the generation of electricity, water heating, will also be used to fuel the motor vehicles.
