DIVERSITY IN THE UNITED STATES

The diversity of cultures is the extent of diversity and change culture, both globally and in certain areas, where there is interaction of different cultures coexisting. United States of America has a much diversified culture, as the country hosts a huge number of people coming from all around the world and settling down in the United States of America. Many states and organizations see cultural diversity as the common heritage of mankind and have favorable policies or attitudes. Shares in favor of cultural diversity usually include the preservation and promotion of cultures. Cultural diversity in the United States of America reflects the multiplicity and interaction of cultures from around the world and therefore is part of the common heritage of mankind (Thompson, Hickey, 2008). Cultural diversity is manifested by the diversity of language, religious beliefs, and practices of land management, in art, in music, in the social structure, the selection of crops, in diet and in any conceivable number of other attributes of human society.

Therefore, it can be said that diversity in the United States of America has provided me with a chance to understand the overall concept of cultural diversity. Moreover, it has also helped me in understanding the different cultures that are unitedly living within the United States of America. It can also be said that by helping me understand all these different cultures from around the world, it has also helped me in being able to better communicate with them, in a manner that is more acceptable by them. This is one thing that I did not know much about, as well as, would not have had done in the past.

LEARNING ABOUT OWN ETHNIC, RACIAL, OR CULTURAL HISTORY?

Yes, it can be said that it has also helped me a big deal in learning about my own racial, ethnic and cultural history, as well. This is said because of the fact that I have lived my complete life in the United States of America, which did not help me being able to tadopt my own culture, values, as well as, in learning about the racial, ethnic or cultural history (Thompson, Hickey, 2008). However, my interest in gaining information about cultural diversity in the United States of America, has not only helped me learning about the different cultures of the world, but also helped me a lot in learning about my own culture and values, alongwith, racial, ethnic, and cultural history.

POPULATION OF U.S. IN 2050?

Currently, in the United States, the number of white babies is exceeded by that of minority children. According to the latest census figures, the current minority children represent 50.4% of children aged less than one year, against 49.6% for the current majority. This is an evolution that reflects on a profound change in demographics and the American society (McDonald, James, 2010).
