Purpose Statement
Anyone can be chosen for leading a group, but there are only a few people who are able to lead effectively. How to identify effective leaders is the crucial task.
Introduction
There are many characteristics that must be present in a person in order to be effective leaders. These characteristics are identified through researches. In order for a person to be a leader, he needs to acquire a few skills and capabilities. These leaders lead the organization in all of its greatest ventures and help achieve organizational desired outcomes (www.elementalpartners.net). The following paper identifies a few research questions alone with the comparison of quantitative and qualitative methodologies adapted to research on the questions defined.

Organizational Systems and Design provide a harmonious working environment to the people that help in the development of systems throughout the organization.
Under a leader, an organizational design helps in the illumination of the work patterns of the organization keeping in focus all the members in a team, led by a leader. Through the articulation of the mission, the principles and strategies of the organization, a leader makes sure that people have a clear sense of their purpose within the organization. This might include leadership practices, control and governance. A leader when able to create a proper organizational design contributes to the development of well-integrated systems resulting in a productive workforce (www.elementalpartners.net). The leaders in an organization must work in collaboration with its partners in order to identify organizational systems. This is achievable through the following methods:

Productivity is ensured through a development of policies and premises that are aligned with the purpose of the organization. This involves managing the staff and the stakeholders.
Understand diversity
The leaders are required to address diversification issues in the organization and remain aware of the different perceptions and inclusions that people have.
Infrastructure
Leaders are required to harness expertise in its people for the developments in areas of human resource, enterprise resource planning and strategic systems
Change management
Leaders are required to act responsively to anticipated or unanticipated changes and must be aware of the tools required to manage organizational culture, power and philosophy (www.elementalpartners.net).

Leader identifies the role of teams and groups and gives them responsibilities based on their strengths.
A leader identifies the goals that are to be achieved by the group of people. These goals must be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound. Clear objectives are defined for the measurement of team effectiveness and a consistent mechanism. Decisions are taken through procedures and mechanisms. Team building is necessary at any level, and a leader is bound to effectively lead a team.
