Problem Statement

A lack of motivation among employees encourages lack of efficiency and negative productivity. There are various factors that make the employees de-motivated such as inappropriate or poor leadership, working conditions, relationship of the managers or supervisors with employees and in-effective compensation and benefits system.

Significance of Problem Statement

The above stated problem statement shows that the motivation level in employees play an active role in bringing productivity and efficiency in their performance that is required by every single organization (Dysvik & Kuvaas, 2011). Management of an organization that is not able to support and assist the needs and wants of its employees can never become successful management, as it is one of the most essential factor that brings strength to it. An organization is mainly dependent on its employees, so if the employees of an organization are not having work motivation they would not be able to accomplish the overall organizational objective that is expected from them (Spector, 2011). The problem statement has clearly stated four major factors that are resulting in lack of employee motivation namely; inappropriate or poor leadership, working conditions, relationship of the managers or supervisors with employees and in-effective compensation and benefits system.

The above stated problem statement is having all those elements that are required in conducting a detailed research work. The research topic that can be obtained from the problem statement is “Relationship between Employee Motivation and Performance”.
