Introduction
Our company name will be “The Research Group” (TRG). The core business of our company is to help our customer in the making of investment decisions. We will analyse different companies from all over the world regarding their financials, business, industry in which they are operating. We will also make research reports on the request of our customers. The head office of our company is located in the Porsche business area in Sydney, Australia. In this assignment, we will compare two companies from an airline industry on the request of one of our customer. The two companies that we choose, one is the domestic airline of the Australia i.e. Qantas Airways, and the other one is the international airline i.e. Lufthansa Airline from Germany.
Background of the Companies
There are two airline companies selected for this paper. In this paper we are analysing some of the major aspect of these companies and effort to differentiate them on the basis of different criterion. Qantas Airline and Lufthansa airline are taken for this assignment.
Background of Qantas Airline
Recent financial crises have enveloped a number of changes in the airline industry. Many of the Airliners have quit in this financial crises but some of them bear the potential to taste this crises and come up with a new identity Airliners Qantas Air holds a significant position due to its operations and service quality (Fojt, 2006). According to Qantas they are in a strong position to address the challenges and realise the opportunities - but we must take decisive action, as we have throughout our history. Safety is always the Qantas group's first priority we invest $1.5 billion in aircraft maintenance each year and reserve an extensive fund for the safety issues.
As a global industry, aviation is more exposed than almost any other sector to unpredictable shocks business resilience responding to shocks and crisis, natural disasters, political instability and global economic volatility all have an impact on industry performance and profitability. The Qantas Group builds business resilience and crisis management into strategic planning, enabling us to respond and recover quickly and effectively when the unexpected happens.
