Introduction

A Defense of Abortion is a moral philosophical paper by Judith Jarvis Thomson first released in 1971. Granting for the sake of argument that the fetus has a right to life, Thomson values considered trials to contend for the lesson permissibility of induced abortion. Her argument has numerous detractors on both edges of the abortion argument, yet extends to obtain defense. Thomson's imaginative demonstrations and contentious deductions have made “A Defense of Abortion” possibly "the most broadly reprinted term paper in all of up to designated day philosophy".
