Introduction

It was New Year's Eve and Saturday night in Kentucky, one of the many accident prone states in USA (2000). I was coming home late after attending a party at my friend's house. The roads were slippery due to flurries of snow, and the vision was blurry because there was a great amount of fog in the air. It was difficult to see the road ahead.
