Career in Pharmacy

The major aim of the pharmacists is to maximize the health care outcomes by working in collaboration with other health care professionals. It is the presence of pharmacist in the hospital which makes it possible to prevent the medication errors and helps to reduce the medication cost. I have strong desires to help the humanity, particularly the suffering. I would like to be a member of health care team, and would help to ensure that patients take their medicines as prescribed and avoid harmful drug interactions.

Since I am experienced working with precision measurement instruments and standardized safety procedures, as well as production control and quality control, therefore I find myself fit for working in these areas of Pharmacy. Additionally, Pharmacogenomics is the area which captures my interest. It is one of the major evolving disciplines in the profession of Pharmacy (AACP, 2013). This area involves the study of genetic variations in genes, which can play a vital role in controlling body's response to a drug. Current specialists in this area hope that they would be able to sequence the entire human gene in future. Such studies would enable health care providers and pharmacists to use the generated information for selecting the best medicines, treat diseases earlier than today.

Since quality control is one of the most important issues for the Pharmacy and drug industry, my experience as quality controller would help in adding value to the company's reputation.
