People have always been fascinated with predictions; some people say that knowing what the future holds may help them to prepare for the future. The year 2012 is a date that has become the benchmark for a number of cataclysmic ideas. Some of the most interesting ideas are the magnetic field shifting, crop circles, global warming, super evolution, and volcano, asteroids run on the sunspot cycle. There are also ancient prophecies such as the Hopi, Nostradamus, Biblical, Chinese oracle, Hindu and Mayan prophecies. The most enigmatic of all, or at least the one that many people are talking about, is the Mayan prophecy that refers to the end of the Mayan calendar run on that has been interpreted by many as the apocalypse. There is a fact that no one knows when or how the world is going to end run on and all these theories, ideas or prophecies are only speculations in which some may have scientific evidence and others may be credible, but I have come to know trough print and mass media that no one knows how or when any of this theories, prophecies will happen. Therefore, the aim of this research is to find the reality behind 2012.
Since we are getting close to the year 2012 there are many books, magazines, Internet articles and even movies regarding this attractive subject. All of them outline many different theories on how the world may end on December 21, 2012.
The magnetic field shifting is a theory in which the Earth's crust literally slips around its molten core altering the positions of land masses with respect to the planet's rotation on its axis. This could happen by a few degrees or by many degrees. This catastrophe will not only result in the massive destruction of life on earth, but also its continued existence. Without this field, life is practically impossible and in a short time, life on our planet would be extinguished. Patrick Geryl, author of How to Survive 2012 , believes a complete magnetic pole reversal will trigger a disastrous physical pole shift, because Earth's core is iron and therefore will respond to the new polarity. It is important to mention that there is no evidence that this has happened during previous magnetic pole shifts and nothing to indicate why it should happen this time but we also need to know that the Earth's magnetic field has decreased by round 10-15 percent in strength since it was measured by Carl Friedrich Gauss in 1835. Fluctuations in the magnetic are cyclical, and a downward trend has been observed for around the last 4000 years. Most scientists believe this trend could just as easily reverse.
Crop circles are patterns created by the flattening of crops such as wheat, barley, rye, or corn. In august 1997 a crop circle appeared by Etchilhampton, England, called the 'Grid Square' glyph by Michael Glickman, a retired English industrial designer who studied it. His background in industrial processes led him to believe that no human technology ...
