This book, "1st to die" written by James Patterson, is an intensely influential new thriller story in which four friends pool their skills jointly to solve toughest murder cases of San Francisco. They shared willpower to stop a killer who has been killing newlyweds in San Francisco. The Horrific murders that occur during the honeymoon and the murder were so terrific that shocked the entire city inexplicably mingled with memories people. The attractive thing in the book was the crimes i.e. newlyweds are being murders. The best part which inspired was the Lindsay work as he was already depressed on loosing his boyfriend and with a disease.

Nevertheless, how she works with her partner Chris on duty or off duty was remarkable, the way the pieces come together, shockingly fast. They created Women's Murder Club in order to stop this killer before he strikes again. The puzzling out with things and how they tackle with the situation was outstanding. The Friends are embedded in a complex investigation leads them in unexpected ways, with pressure from the press and politicians of the police and the council who want immediate resolution of the case (Patterson. J, 2005, Pp. 317).

The people engrosses are the investigator, a pathologist, lawyer and a reporter. The main characters are as followed:

Lindsay Boxer who was homicide inspector working at the Police Department of San Francisco. Claire Washburn a medical examiner who was black and heavyset and loves to joke. Cindy Thomas; working for the San Francisco Chronicle as a crime desk reporter. She is for a pretty, blonde and city cool and lastly Jill Bernhardt, who is an assistant D.A (Patterson. J, 2005, Pp. 12).

In this story, a formidable psychopath enjoys slaughtering newlywed couples as they savor the first hours of their honeymoon. Height of wickedness, the murderer seems to take pleasure in having the bodies in sexually explicit poses. Inspector Lindsay Boxer of San Francisco PD, depressed and thinking of committing a suicide with a gun; after she lost her boyfriend in her former case, "The Murders in the honeymoon”. A newlyweds David and Melanie Brandt, was staying in their hotel room at the Grand Hyatt when someone knocks on the door and says "Champagne", David opens the door.
