Introduction

It took huge strides by courteous women to make a difference in society's views of women having won their opportunity to make their mark in the arts. The change of women's integration into the male dominated arts was a pivotal and necessary one to better the arts.

The main problem of women in literature is mainly because until the 20th century women had no money of their own, nor the opportunity to get an education, or "my room" where they could be creative.
