Introduction

Women, Infant and children (WIC) is a program which is designed in order to maintain good health of pregnant, postpartum and breast feeding women. Not only this but, infants and children up-to 5 years old are also beneficiaries of this program (www.fns.usda.gov).

The basic intension behind doing these efforts were to reduce the risk associated with child birth. Deficiencies caused due to shortage of nourishing food, and proper education about good food is the matter of concerns for the founders of this program. Each dollar spent on WIC save $3.5 in following medications. It safeguard children and mothers from these problems in the future. Things like Milk, eggs, cheese, peanut butter, cereals, juices, beans and iron fortified infant formulae is provided in their diets (www.cdph.ca.gov).

This study is for promoting WIC program and making people aware of its importance and its existence both at the same time. This will not only help in educating people. But it will also shelter so many children and women with such health problems in the future. It will also let people know, that how auspiciously they are actually contributing in US society. Background

WIC's establishment was for the low income earning American's. In 1967, this fact was actually revealed that in the low income earning America. Children are facing issues like improper growth and anemia. These children later develop diseases like cognitive abilities and also on the sizes of their brains. The actual problem was that their diet was not good due to their poverty.
