Population is defined as the set of units concerning with inferential statistics. A population is a collecting of general data whose properties are examine. It is mostly based on random samples that take from the overall population. For example, if we have to estimate total number of boys in a University for this we make samples from male population. It is difficult to analyze all male population of University, for this we analyze sample of the given population. On that evaluation, we estimate the total number of male population of a University.

It is also used to examine a set of probable quantity or principles, counting observable and non-observable factors. For example we have to examine the weight of male population of University. For each male population the analysis of weight is called the population of weight.

Sample is defined as, the set of observation from the total population by a defined method. It can be drawn in two ways, with replacement in which the set of samples are multiple and the other is without replacement, when the set of samples is a division of general population. It is difficult to analyze the large population for complete details. For this purpose, sample defines the whole population taking as a subset. Samples are composed and statistics are designed from the subset can define the general population. This gathering of information by using sample is known as Sampling.

The sampling distribution in statistics is the probability distribution that totally depends on the random sample. This distribution plays a significant role in statistics, which provides the overall statistical inferences. In sampling distribution all samples of the given population of a given size n. It is related to the asymptotic distribution in which the corresponding limit n tends to infinity.
