Iconic Images

The iconic language is a system of representation both linguistic and visual. Iconic language spoken in dealing with the representation of reality through images. By "reality" means the "visual reality", considered in its most readily apparent: the colors, the shapes, the textures, etc.. When speaking of images, which varies from other models of representation (acoustic, sensorial, language, etc.) Is not the relationship that can save the image to its referent, but the unique way that has the image to replace, interpret, and translate that reality. Within the iconism find images that meet the sign function (Munch, 92). The debate in this field focuses on the one hand, natural or artificial character with these signs (icons) and on the other hand, the properties must have an icon to represent your object. Analysis of an Iconic Image
