Introduction

The issue of violence that has been spread by the video games is one of the great concerns these days. The arguments about the adverse effect of video games even reached the courts of United States, whereas several scholars studied the effect of video games on young population. In spite of the fact that we can acquire information from resent studies on kinds of media with a concern on violence of video games is very little (Gentile &Anderson, pp. 3). Present studies exhibit that children and young adolescents spend a significant time in playing games to entertain themselves.

Video Games' Violence

Extensive research relevant to the effects of exposure to violent video games and movies has to highly sophisticated research findings. It is now very general that a brief exposure to violent video games results in great aggression. The frequent exposure to violent games results in higher aggression in kids (Anderson, pp. 3).

The question arises that why the violent video games increases the aggression in children. There are large numbers of ways in which violent video games increase the violence and aggression in children. The most enduring and strongest way includes the learning processes. From childhood, a person gets to learn about ways to perceive, analyze, interpret and respond to a particular situation in physical and social environment. Everyone learns when he/she observes the world around him/her and by responding to the world. We get the knowledge about the rules for the ways of societal conducts. We learn the behavioral scripts, and we use these scripts to draw interpretation about the events and conducts of others, and to direct our own behavioral actions to the events. Their different learning structures are developed with the passage of time. These structures are drawn on the basis of daily observations and interactions with real and imagined people. Kids, who have a lot of exposure to violent media like video games and movies, learn several lessons that transform them to aggressive individuals. They think there are so many bad people around them, and they will be hurt by those bad people. They expect that others are selfish and nasty.
