Urban Planning

Introduction

The aim of this paper is to highlight the definition of urban planning and its importance. Furthermore, the paper will discuss whether the government should spend more money on public places or not.

My argument in this context is that the government should spend more on developing public places as a part of the urban planning process. However, the argument against government spending on public places will be covered in the paper.

Discussion

The planning and design of public spaces is the process by which urban planners, designers, architects, women, grassroots and other community stakeholders are collaborating to create the physical elements of public spaces, safe and welcoming to all the members of the society. If public spaces are dark, abandoned, dirty, careless vegetation, or if they lack certain elements such as banks and emergency phone numbers, they are potentially unsafe for everyone and for women and girls in particular.

Urban centers are "connecting spaces, places of exchange, encounter, culture, entertainment, articulation between modes of transportation and government," is that people, having a proactive attitude mixed with efficient support by the state agencies can not only improve the spaces where they can have fun and enjoy with your family, but also contribute to the participation and security citizen, and is essential to think of land-use planning from an eminently ethical dimension and not technically or instrumental policy. The real estate industry forgets all ethical principles that should support a comprehensive regional planning, and often, ethical principles are violated by the State and institutions should ensure the common good in the city.

'Urban planning is the important developmental role of government. Use of land and physical planning is the core of urban planning' (Catanese and Snyder, 1988, p. 27). To start with, these days, people want to have a better atmosphere and environment around them. Public places are something that many people use together. At this point, we can say that public places should be regularly checked out to see whether they are giving the benefits to people effectively.

Public places include parks, public washrooms, libraries, and so on. To provide more profits to people, it should work properly, as it was expected to when they were first made. To do this, more money should be spent on it.
