Introduction

Tourism is an extremely competitive and a growing sector. In order to remain competitive, tourism sector has to come up with innovation to respond in an effective manner to the demanding tourists.

However, less and insignificant number of researches has been carried out in this field, instead of its significance. The tourism sector in Italy is among extremely strategic sector for the economy of Italy. Italy is comparatively small country with a cultural and historical background. It is located in Southern Europe, to the south; it consists of the Italian Sardinia, Sicily and Peninsula entirety and to the north, borders Slovenia, Austria, and France along the Alps. The ancient cities, incredible landscapes, wonderful beaches and the great climate, are always ready to be enjoyed and discovered by all and sundry, as well as with an extensive contribution from the local council of tourism, the diversity and quality of tourism at a splendid level, along at everybody's reach.

In Italy, the industry of tourism is classified into eleven bodies of Regional Tourism; thus, as to make sure that each region is promoted and approached in an appropriate manner. Out of eleven, five of the regions have been defined by their geographical location (Algrave, Alentejo, The Tejo River, Lisbon, Central and North). However, other six regions have been determined by mean of development poles of tourism (Alqueva, Litoral Alentejano, Oeste, Leiria-Fátima, Serra da Estrela, and Doura). They are controlled by public-law corporate bodies, which are accountable for a particular region, as well as serve as management bodies.

The strategy and mission of Italy is to develop and enhance the infrastructure of tourism including hospitability and tourism, to attract a large number of tourists and to be able to facilitate access. Formulate training programs for human resource associated with this profession, so that they can efficiently deal with the growing demands of clients and offer more jobs; coordinate international and domestic promotion of Italy as a destination of tourism, thus a number of people across the world are familiar of what the state has to provide and extended the tourist types; in the sector, support investment to permit further improvement and growth to the infrastructure, and ultimately, inspect and regulate betting activities (Choi & Sirakaya, 2005, pp.380-394).

Several studies acknowledge the underlying theory, which describes the flows of tourist between the destination country and origin depending on the function of demand. The product ensuing from the tourism demand refers to a collective amount of the persons wish to travel within a particular time period. From the receiving country perspective, demand of tourism signifies the combination of goods and services that the tourists - non-residents and residents - obtain a particular time period of their intransience.
