Introduction

Every individual during his school starts thinking what to become when they will grow up. Career is very important for everyone in this world. After a certain age, everyone starts thinking and worrying about their future. Here, future is referred as the career. A lot of individuals becomes career conscious during the end of their school. This is the time when they start planning their career, and starts thinking how to go about it.

Planning phase in one's life is the most important part. It is important for all career oriented individuals to make goals made for them and to plan how to reach their goals. No goal or objective can be achieved if proper planning is not done. Hence step should be defined in order to reach at a certain potion in the defined time period. It is important to be as specific as one can achieve the goal. Then while, planning the steps of achieving the goal, one should clearly define the time duration for each step that will be designed and followed. The best way to set a goal and its step, regarding career, is by taking advices from experienced personals in that same field (Tracy, pp. 64-81). Proper planning and steps are designed, in order to obtain the goal of becoming the assistant physicians.

Discussion

If the individual is very career oriented and wants to become a physician assistant, they have to get few steps before reaching this goal. No one can reach to get what they want, until they work hard to get it. If one wants to become an assistant of a psychiatrist, he first needs to have required knowledge regarding it. Then he will start doing his internships in different hospitals and clinics, in order to gain the required experience. Once he gains the required experience, he can then apply for the assistant post.

Similarly, when any individual wants to become a physician assistant he needs to follow some steps. First of all he needs to do Licensed Vocational Nursing program. Then he needs to get further education so that he can become a registered nurse. Once these programs are done by him, then he can apply for the physician assistant post.

Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)

Licensed Vocational Nurses are healthcare workers who care skilled and aid doctors and nurses. LVN programs are designed to make inactive licensed nurses active. It makes them do a lot of practice which results in making them active. “People in this entry-level health care position are responsible for providing basic nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician” (Neill, pp. 92-150). This career requires training, but it is less than an RN (Registered Nurse). The responsibilities of LVNs vary, but it includes providing basic bedside care, scheduling and confirming appointments, updating charts, recording patient's vital signs, dressing wounds, preparing and giving injections, giving alcohol rubs and collecting samples.
