Introduction

This assignment is based on Dorothea Orem's theory. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1914. He began his career at the nursing school Washington, where he graduated in early 1930. In 1971, he published his first book: Nursing Concepts of Practice, which exhibits the main concepts of the theory of Self-Care Deficit, which consists of three interrelated theories: (i) theory of nursing systems, (ii) self-care deficit theory and (iii) self-care theory.
