With representation of foreign companies in Saudi Arabia, the operations of the Saudi Arabian Trading and Construction Company (SATCO) started in the year of 1975. The company covered the sectors in systems control; airports support services, catering, landscaping and construction. The construction boom of Saudi Arabia was witnessed by the company, within a few short years after its inception. By forming joint ventures with the foreign companies, the company took full advantage of it. An increasing dependence has been placed on the organizational ability to supply demanded goods by customer, on time plus fast, by the competitive forces. The matter for examination has been the field of logistics. There have been limited inclusive readings on the logistics' subcontracting in the Middle Eastern area, since there is an increasing indication of organization that are progressively seek to subcontract their actions of logistics. The examination of the procedure of facilities of operational alliances in the Saudi Arabian Trading and Construction Company (SATCO) is the purpose of this paper. To study the company's decision-making process for selecting its contractual logistics, the facilities of logistic corporations used and stage till when they have been used along with their impacts on the organization, the empirical research method has been adopted in this paper.

Introduction

The organizational ability to supply goods demanded by the customers from all around the globe on time and quickly has been positioned increasing dependence due to the competitive pressures and globalization of corporation. This made logistics a quickly emerging region of examination and has positioned numerous requirements on the method of logistics. Many organizations realize that due to their lack in core competencies, they cannot achieve the competitive edge while some of them are pursuing to accomplish their operations of logistics in a strategic manner.

The logistic activities increasingly are being outsources by the corporations. The growing importance of time-based struggle is another important development that impacts many organizations. The quickness, with which goods can be produced, supplied to the market and facilities, refers to the time-based competition (Manzini & Et.al, 2007, pp. 135). Third-party logistics, contract distribution, contract logistics, operational alliances in logistics and logistics alliance are the various terms used to define the increasing existence of subcontracting actions of logistics. Predominantly, in industrialized countries, the extent of outsourcing of logistics has been widely examined, followed by the trend towards it.
