There were several tasks which were decided by the Bureau. These tasks included the education of the freedmen, treating ill people and those suffering from mental problems. The other group of people included was aged persons and poor people. The need for fair judgment for various groups in the country and developing a non-discriminatory system in the society was also stressed.
