Abstract

The purpose of conducting this research revolves around the notion of rendering the impact of Winter Olympics on the local hospitality industry of Sochi and the extent to which it will have an effect on the economy of the country. This study will employ the phenomenological approach to align itself with the framed objectives of the paper. The rationale behind opting for phenomenological approach was that it will render the experiences of those who are at the helm of affairs, moreover, the experiences of tourists will also justify the extent to which Sochi or Russian government were able to give boost to their economy as a result of the Winter Olympics. However, in this regard a different measure serves as the guiding principle and the steps which the local industry should take to boost the confidence of the tourist and to utilize the event even after it ends.
