Every year thousands of teenagers end their lives by suicide. It is a social problem that affects all the people around the person who commits it. There are a number of reasons why a teenager may consider ending their life. In most of the cases suicide is committed in order to get the attention of the adults. In addition to this the teenager has some physical and psychological problem that prompts them to do such an act. Nevertheless, whatever the reason is behind committing suicide, it is important to deal with the issue, and avoid any additional suicidal act.

Firstly, the number of teen suicides needs to decreased to the least because the friends of the person who does it are likely to follow their action. In view of the fact that, the majority of the suicide efforts are done in order to draw the attention of others, and this technique works despite of the result many teens may have the intent to obligate suicide. If a teenager survives the attempt, they receive a lot of attention from their family members and peers; special handling is given to them in school, and more careful treatment is given in comparison to the others. If the teenager does not survive, the reasons for the suicide are discussed, and the peers may see it as a successful way to get the attention of the people around them.

If the teen suicide is not closed or avoided, the occurrence of teen suicide might become a part of specific communities and societies, causing a major dent on the broader horizon of social life. For the healthy functioning of any society it is important that suicide is controlled as it transforms the principles and values upon which the society is based. The prevention is then first stride towards the mantainence of social wealth of the country. In many efforts to recognize those probable to commit suicide, there should be a designated organization that counsels people about the problems that make them do such a thing.
