Background of the Study
This research focuses on understanding whether and how effective leadership makes a difference in students' outcome in high school in UK. The challenge is to observe the impact of effective leadership on vital school processes and students' learning outcomes represents the problem addressed in this research. A comprehensive model of the school improvement and leadership must include features of the external environment of school and the internal organisational processes. This study uses a conceptual strategy in which the impacts of effective leadership on learning achievement are the matter of the influence of particular environmental factors by the school's academic study (Davies, & Ellison, 2003, pp. 45).
Leadership is defined as an effective process that assists in shaping the behaviour of a person or a group of people towards the achievement of goals. There is an exceptional global interest in knowing the reason of the way educational leaders effect a number of student outcomes (Vidoni, & Grassetti, 2003, pp. 1). The interest in school's performance lies clearly in observing how leadership involves to changes in improvement of school performance by time. A foremost reason for the taking the interest in the associations between student outcome and effective leadership is the need of the policy makers in several authorities to decrease the constant disruptions in school's attainment between several ethnic and social groups of people, and their perception that school leaders play a key role in performing this function (Davies, & Ellison, 2003, pp. 45). The thought of the politicians and public in the capability of the school leaders to create a substantial difference to student achievements is maintained by different researches on the effect of effective leadership on schools development (Campbell, & Southworth, 1993, pp. 56).
The growing phase of the recent discussion about school effective leadership has altered decidedly towards a focus on its causes. It reveals a person's rising appreciation for the involvements to efficiency of the familiar elements of schools. School effective leadership is mostly perceived as a school-level experience in which appreciated school leadership and structures is allocated among several roles and people and are being perceived as solutions to such sort of problems (Vidoni, & Grassetti, 2003, pp. 1).
