Survey Instrument
Chapter 01- Introduction
This study will be designed to comprehend the relationship between the culture, gender and resistance for the adoption of Tele medicine in Healthcare. Specifically, this study will explore in detail the affect of gender and culture on the adoption of tele-health medicine. The chapter one will provide the purpose of this study together with research questions. Moreover, the chapter will discuss the topic with its background
In chapter 02- the paper will provide the conceptual frame work of the study. This chapter will discuss the previous studies in the same filed and their end results. In chapter three the research will discuss the instruments that will be used to conduct this study. In this chapter, the paper will discuss the research philosophy and research design together with research method.
Background of the Study
E-Health refers to the use of tools based on information and communication technologies communication to support and promote the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and disease monitoring and management of health and lifestyle. According to the World Health Organisation, eHealth is the combined use of electronic communication and information technology in the health sector (Boman, et al., 2012).
The establishment of systems for patient care using telecommunications technologies is feasible, but there is little acceptance in patients. The previous studies provided variable and inconclusive results for other outcomes such as psychological measures, and analyzable data about the cost effectiveness of telemedicine systems. The review shows that further research is needed and that it is feasible to conduct randomized clinical trials of telemedicine applications. The guiding policy makers should be cautious about recommending increased use and investment in unevaluated technologies (Boonstra & Broekhuis, 2010).
Purpose of The study
In the previous studies, many researchers have studied the effectiveness of tele-health medicine in healthcare settings but there is no research done on the factors that affect the adoption of tele-health medicine in health care setting. This study will provide the detail analysis of the factors that affect the acceptance of tele-medicine in healthcare setting.
Research Aims and Objective
This study has following objectives:
To find out the relationship between culture and resistance to tele-health medicine.
To find out the relationship between age factor and technology adoption in healthcare setting.
To find out the relationship between literacy and tele-health medicinal practice.
Research Questions
This study aims to answer the following questions:
Is there any relationship between culture and resistance for technology based medicine practices?
Is there any relationship between age factor and technology adoption in healthcare setting?
What is the relationship between literacy and tele-health medicinal practice?
Conceptual Frame Work
Since the adoption of telemedicine systems is influenced by the characteristics of the technology, the compatibility of the actor with other actors must be present to form an efficient actor-network. With all the technology-related components in the context of telemedicine system, the adoption of telemedicine systems by the behavioral patients is influenced by the quality of video images transferred to the healthcare professionals to meet the clinical needs, the quality of information received from the patient ...
