Chapter 1: Introduction

It has been observed that throughout the history of football, Asian players have never proved themselves. There are many reasons including the discrimination they face out of the game. The football association has let down successive generations of talented Asian footballers. There is a high requirement of a seismic shift in order to change the way Asians are considered in football. Young Asian footballers are being discriminated against due to lack of transparent development approach and stereotyping. Asian footballers are highly energetic and enthusiastic but they often face racism. They are highly passionate about sports. Asian community is not considered as a significant part of all the things happening in football. It is the high time to bring a seismic shift in sports. This issue was first raised 10 years ago and the issue is not addressed yet.

Problem Statement

In history there has never been an Asian player on the pitch. Why Asian footballers have not made it yet, and how ethic and morals play a big factor in today's society

Chapter 2: Methodology

The research incorporates a mixed research design incorporating primary and secondary data. A number of articles, surveys and journals were reviewed to have a better understanding of the topic under study. Additionally primary research will be conducted in the form of a survey utilizing questionnaires to elicit more specific responses. One of the most important and effective tool for getting important and relevant information for research is the internet. The internet is a tool that allows individuals and researcher in obtaining a wide range of articles, papers, journals, news papers and even magazines that would otherwise be impossible or too costly and time consuming. The research will be initiated by reviewing a few articles online and identified some important keywords to better customize the search.

A survey will be also be conducted using questionnaires incorporating open ended questions to elicit the responses. This survey will allow the research to elicit a more customised and specific type of information that greatly contributed towards the finding of the research. The qualitative method will be used to analyse data that will help in portraying a bigger picture of the performance and position of Asian football players.

Chapter 3: Literature Review

According to Rai ( appeared in Dailymail), in the Asian community football is one of the most popular sports but still there are very low percentage of Asian footballers playing internationally.

There are many surveys conducted in order to get aware with the reasons due to which Asian players are unable to show their extra ordinary performance in football in spite of competencies and potential. The one thing that every single Asian professional football player says is the importance of their parents in their career (Rai, 2011).
