Introduction

Research in nursing plays a significant role in order to improve existing health care systems in our society. As the health care system has become ineffective; thus, a variety of research work is being carried out in order to provide effective and efficient care to the patients. Thus, there is a great significant of employing effective research methods and research processes in order to effectively deal with the patients. As a result, the entire health care system of existing society will be enhanced and improved. Considerable changes in the system of health care are taking place over the period of past 26 years and these changes are expected to continue in the future. Technological advancements and developments are leading to improved and enhanced outcomes of health. Integration and inclusion of these technological developments are raising expectations of public related to the services of health care system.

Lower birth rates and increased life expectancy is representing that the population of United Kingdom is ageing. Due to ineffective and inefficient system of health care, an elder population is experiencing more dilemmas and problems in accessing health care system. Thus, in order to enhance the access to the systems of health care and also to the services and care of health care system, there is a great significance of effective research methodologies and processes (Burns & Grove, 2011).

Discussion

The increment in chronic diseases among older population is increasing the needs of accessing health needs. This is contributing to the increment in demands of health care or health needs on an already hassled and pressurized system of health care. In addition, the growing health care's cost is leading to the change from costly resource intensive healthcare to the provision of more services in community and primary care sectors. As a result of these changes, health policy of government is increasingly focusing on the improvement of health care by making it cost-effective. The improvement in the entire system of health care is contributing to the reduction in burden of ill health with the help of health promotion strategies, effective nursing research and active public health (Abbas, 2012, Pp.5-8). Thus, there is a great need of effective research processes in nursing so as to provide the wider public and patients with high quality care. The effective nursing research will eliminate and prevent illness which will consequently improve health outcomes. This will help in improving the care quality for people with specific needs. In order to attain the effective health outcomes, there is a need to alter the method in which professionals of health care work and also the way in which services of health fit together. The effective research will help in implementation of high quality care which will ensure the patients that they have adequate access to available treatments.
