Chapter 1: Introduction

Background

Renewable energy is meant to address the problems in the field of environmental protection, economic security. Many people begin looking for alternative methods of filling their homes, cars and businesses, a major conservation and conversion to renewable energy, the environment looking for help. If you perform well enough, the use of renewable energy sources, the economic crises that come to prevent the accelerated demand for a scarce resource under uncertainty (Morell, 2003). However, these methods are not only good for the environment, but they also have the economic considerations and emotional needs of consumers today are concerned about renewable energy - to date - more emotional than fact or knowledge society. A good parallel analysis of the consumer businesses in the marketing of products for people in their needs and preferences differ interested.

Problem Statement

Although renewable energies such as solar, wind, geothermal or better for the environment, renewable energy sources more expensive than fossil fuels, partly because the renewable energy capital intensive and a hefty cost of equipment required in exchange for more low operating costs over time and environmental benefits and risks to diversify the use of renewable energy sources and public goods generally underestimated power generators, utility regulators, legislators and consumers. Added relate to the costs of marketing renewable energy to residential customers (Layne, 2007).

Purpose of the Study

The prime purpose of this study will be to highlight and analyze the importance of renewable energy sources in the wake of diminishing traditional energy sources.

Aims and Objectives

The aims and objectives of the study will be to:

Assess the importance of renewable energy sources

Discuss the pros and cons of renewable energy sources

Highlight the usage of renewable energy sources in the field of civil engineering

Research Question

The following research questions will be addressed in this dissertation.

RQ1: Are the renewable energy sources beneficial for business sectors?

RQ2: What is the impact of renewable energy sources on the economy of the United States?

RQ3: Do these renewable energy sources provide better options in the wake of challenges posed by globalization in the 21st century?

Significance of the Study

This study is very significant because of the fact that So far, studies on the use of renewable energy policy frameworks and market conditions, the tool is considered that the financing of renewable energies, as well as changing patterns of consumption following residential energy evaluation. In return, the study looks at the "spirit" of the individual to determine which messages work best in the interests of consumers. Thus, this study is a pioneer in interdisciplinary research includes public policy and marketing, along with practical application (Greenberg, 2006). The study examined how the various ideas and messages are driving you has the comfort of customer connection of RES and the future of their energy consumption and transitional provisions.

Chapter 2: Literature Review

Renewable Energy Technologies

There are many proven technologies available to produce renewable energy, and some new technologies are under development. One of the most promising renewable energy technologies for electricity generation is wind energy that uses airflows to run wind turbines. In good ...
