Time Schedule/Timeline

As research is a time consuming process as it has to be done with discretion and care so that the desired purpose of the study can be achieved. the proposed time for the research is six months. Piloting the proposal is to be completed in one month. The main research will start after that. The consent forms will be distributed to desired participants. They will be expected back after two weeks but the participants will be requested to return back the consent forms within a week. This is done to estimate the actual time involved in the research. Conducting interviews will take two to three weeks. In the mean time, questionnaires will be distributed to 30 to 50 elderly people.

The data from the interviews and questionnaires will be processed to take out meaningful conclusion. This will take one month. Five studies are scheduled as a literature review and they are going to be completed in two weeks. The objective of the research to find out the risk factors involved in allowing the elderly people to drive. The interviews with elderly people will take some time as they are likely to be less responsive and less cooperative. Moreover, progress and regular updates are planned to be provided to the supervisors to ensure the smooth process of the research. As there are many limitations and external constraints are to be faced in the study. With this prospect, the proposed time will be set as six months.

Resources Needed

Research work is not a job to handle by a single person. A complete research team is required along with the latest technology use. The candidates must consider the use of technology to create a work of high standard. In addition, the study will be conducted on 30 to 50 elderly people and a survey has been planned. Surveys are helpful in research studies as no data collection is possible without them. Access to a personal computer is very important to speed up the process of research and to not the findings.

A university's help will be achieved through request. For printing various consent forms, questionnaires and interviews transcript, a printer will be needed on daily basis. With this, photocopying of certain material demands reasonable photocopying facilities. A proper approval from university authority will be sought to have appropriate software relevant the research focus. IT technical support will also be needed in the research which will be provided by the campus. Last but not the least, some university funds will be used to carry out the research.

One must not forget that apart from books as authentic resources of research, internet is also used to facilitale the research work. It provides proimary source materials for any study. Using the internet demands careful searches. It is advised to avoide some of the websites which do not provide quality material of the topic.
