Introduction

Today continues the discussion about the knowledge society and innovation. Both have a common fundamental goal, analyze and explain the dynamic processes that can potentially create an increase in competitiveness and growth of the organization. Innovation is a central concept (usually associated with the R & D) strategies for the transformation towards a knowledge-based economy. In fact, the theory of innovation and research is finding ways to alter the equilibrium state of the economy in order to reach at least temporarily, a competitive advantage. Also, the strong emphasis made in innovation and its role in economic growth has overshadowed the importance of behavior when drawing up action plans to achieve growth, assuming the R & D center stage to reach an exclusive focus on the connection of innovations through formal knowledge, high technology and R & D. The conventional theory is that these processes are inherently more complex, their results more difficult to imitate and consequently more likely that we move towards a competitive advantage. Some companies have grown rapidly and consolidated in the market, because they knew how to exploit the potential of information and IT in relation to its competitors (Buhalis, 2003).

In this paper, we are majorly going to focus on the issues faced by Dell Corporation. Dell was founded in 1984 by Michael Dell in 1984. DELL is a multinational corporation United States established in Round Rock ( Texas ) that develops, manufactures, sells and supports personal computers , servers , network switches, software , peripherals and other technology-related products. In 2008 it had 95,000 employees worldwide.

The corporation grew during the 70's and 90's for several years to become the seller of PCs and servers world's largest. In 2008 took second place behind Hewlett-Packard . In 2006, the magazine Fortune Dell considered as the first company in the world's largest listed Fortune 500 and eighth in their list "Top 25" most admired companies in the United States. In 2007 Dell ranked in the positions 34 and 8 respectively on the equivalent lists for that year. A 2006 publication identified Dell as one of 38 high-performance companies in the S & P 500 that has been successful on the market in the last 15 years.

In this paper, we are going to draw an individual outline that will address the problem statement related to the issues identified earlier as well as the scope, scale and effect of that issue on individual partners and organization. Dell aims to be the world's most successful company in PC (Buhalis, 2007).

Discussion

The use of the strategy provides several benefits; it allows that an organization can influence their environment, rather than reacting to it, exert some control over its destiny takes advantage key opportunities in the environment, minimize the impact of external threats and internal strengths used to overcome the threats internal.
