The evolution of human societies is a long process that took millions of years. At various places on earth hunter-gatherer groups must know the environment in which they lived in order to adapt to the resources of nature and thus survive.

In the first stage we call Paleolithic Era, the groups were hunters, gatherers and fishermen, i.e. their livelihood depended on the animals they hunt or fish and vegetables that could be collected.
