I would like to further my career in the field of Economics. In fact, I could never think that I will be selecting economics as my major given the fact that I was not really good in it until some time ago. When I arrived in States, my awareness about the business world in the country grew gradually, so is my curiosity to understand the different underlying phenomenon which ultimately develops my interest in this particular field. Operating a business successfully in varying economic conditions can only be done if a person understands the fundamental of economics. While I was enrolled in Diablo Valley College, I got a chance to take macroeconomics class for the first time. Honestly, I messed up. In the words of wise man, failure is the first step to success. I found out that scope of economics is not limited to nations but it is equally applicable on the individual sphere of life. Economics is an art; I am kind of person who would like to create opportunities and to step forward. Failure is not an excuse for me to give up.

The failing in macroeconomics class during my first year made me further contribute towards my curiosity contrary to traditional practice in which most people may just give up doing something when they think it's tough, nevertheless, challenge excites me. At the end of 2011, I went back to my home country and volunteered to be a private tutor in microeconomics. This is the most enjoyable work I have ever done in my life. During the discourse engaging different dimensions of economics, I realized that I could never get tired on doing it. My parents thought that I should hang out with friends and just relax; rather I prefer spending most of time on books comprehending the basics. In turn, when I learnt how to put economic concepts into real time, it strengthened my knowledge about the life. During the experience, the most impressive thing was the idea which my student and I came up with which applied the economic theory on his family restaurant business. ...
