My definition of organized crime
According to me organized crime are various crimes that are not merely committed in an organized manner but by an organized group. Such a group may have its network within a state or even abroad. Organized crimes are carried out for specific political or financial purposes and make those people their targets who are of consequence. For instance, the terrorist groups of today against whom America has waged a war against terror are organized groups. These include Taliban and Al-Qaeda. They have their networks around many parts of the group especially in countries of their creed. These organized groups are involve in major crimes such as kidnapping of an important political person or a group of people, hijacking a plane or a cruise so that their demands may be met , bomb blasting to create wide spread terror for a certain political purpose, etc. These groups, in many cases, are not concerned with money. The concern with money is not just a onetime concern, that is to say these organized crimes are committed by organized groups who get together not merely for committing on crime. They are involved in a chain of criminal activities to serve the purposes of their material gain, for instance, they may be involved in wide scale kidnapping, drug smuggling and massacre.
