The term “pastoral” was first time used in 18th century as an entitlement which has further transformed down through a period of time. All in all, this essay will explain the pastoral ministry and the functions it carry out in order to mange, maintain and carry out the processes and strategies to provide various services to its members. A pastor is a priest or the Christian minister who holds the religious charge over the other groups of religion or the worshippers. The pastors normally hold different styles of preaching and holding the religious activities in the church. Similarly, they hold a different style of management for the church. This whole leadership style also affects the ministry of the church. Sometimes conflicts are aroused within the ministry of the church when the churches are under the process to grow large. This mostly affects the leadership style of the pastor and the pastoral ministry, as well. It is very important to mention if the leadership style has influenced the pastoral ministry. The main purpose of the pastoral ministry is to teach the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and provide them the spiritual blessings of god. In the congregations, the pastor supervises the pastoral ministry with the help of the advisory council, the council of leadership and all the rest of the staff that falls under the institution. To proclaim the Gospel of the Christ lies under the responsibility of the Pastor to the church. To govern the chief administrating body of the pastoral ministry to participate and serve the pastor care functions and teaching all the spiritual things that are biblical revelations fall under the responsibility of a pastor. The pastoral ministry achieves its consent i.e. to motivate and inspire the flock to translate, preach and spread the message of the Jesus Christ. The objectives of any pastoral ministry are outlined depending upon the scale of that Church.
