One Perfect Rose and First Love

Introduction

One Perfect Rose is written Dorothy Parker and consists of four stanzas, with the first two stanzas having a different theme and the last two representing a clear idea. As the title suggests, the introductory stanzas describe the writer's love, using all the romantic words and indicators while the last two stanzas take a complete turn and call for material show of love.

Similarly, First Love written by John Clare talks about love and tenderness, in this case the writer discusses the experience of falling in love for the first time and experiencing the tenderness and sweetness of love.

Both the poems, The Perfect Rose and First Love evolve around the same topic, i.e. the feeling of love, though both of them have adopted a different approach and talk about the same topic differently.
