Introduction

Strategic management is a management process used by the managers to develop and implement appropriate strategies of management to enhance the performance of the organization and help the organization attain a competitive edge over its rivals. Strategic management is a vast topic which encompasses many concepts including strategic leadership which is highlighted in the movie 12 Angry Men. Strategic leadership is the process of utilizing the resources in the most efficient manner using the leadership roles of the management of the business organizations. The management leaders are expected to act as a leader for the employees of the organization, allocate the organizational resources and communicate the vision of the organization to the members of the organization.

Discussion

The movie 12 Angry Men is based on the story of a young man who is alleged of the crime of killing his own father. The jury of twelve judges is then formed to solve the case and to find out whether the man is innocent or guilty. Among the jury of the twelve judges, eleven of them vote the young man as being guilty of the crime of the murder of his father but only one man among the jury, Henry Fonda votes in his favor as not being guilty of the murder. Henry Fonda was of the opinion that the young man should not be sentenced to death without investigation of the case. The movie is then based on and highlights the strategic leadership role that Henry Fonda plays as being a part of the jury.
