ABSTRACT

The main aim of this research is to discuss the modernism and post-modernism employees risk perceptions and their impact on Social Security administration in the case of the National Social Security Authority (NSSA) of Zimbabwe. This research is founded on the qualitative study. This study was based on primary data and secondary data accumulation in order to answer the research questions. In literature review section ample amount of literature was discussed which enable the researcher to get in-depth knowledge about the entire concept in context to modernist and post-modernist employees risk perceptions in Zimbabwe. For analysing this topic from an organizational perspective the researcher opt for NSSA in order to obtain primary information about modernist and post-modernist employees risk perceptions and it's impact on social security and how it is being catered by NSSA.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

This dissertation follows a logical progression through five chapters. The first chapter introduces the topic, the statement of the problem, the background, the purpose, the research objectives, necessary definitions, the scope of limitations, and the study's purpose. From there, chapter two provides an overview of the applicable literature. Chapter three describes the research methodology chosen to complete the study, and finally, chapters four and five present the results of the study.

Background of the research

A fundamental belief in Modernism is that all problems can be solved rationally by the application of scientific and social theory, and thus justify management theories that aim to explain human behaviour. Post-Modernists argue that it is impossible to derive a universal truth, and therefore empirical studies do not reflect the reality within organisations.
