MOD 5: Usability training for TUI course developers and usability testing of their courses
Introduction
Usability means concentrating its efforts on ease of use. This means making the necessary steps to achieve a goal as simple, direct and smoothly as possible. This means creating transparent systems to the user, easy to understand and manipulate instantly. Usability is not only for the convenience of users, but it is also a valuable asset. This can make the difference between success and failure for any product or service. The paper will be concerned about TUI course development. This may be the deciding factor of a sale, or found a person's loyalty to a product or a service. Usability can increase confidence in a system, to a mark to a product. Even more important is the impact of poor usability of a visitor. This creates a loss of communication with him, which may lead to the abandonment of the goal. This can also lead to interact with the system or product, by circuitous routes, which leads to “break” the system.
Focus on usability developing for TUI course developers, can improve the overall efficiency of courses and faculty. It will further strengthen the impact of the development of the brand (“branding”) and customer loyalty towards TUI, and this allows the TUI course developers to overcome the limitations inherent in the web standards. This paper presents recommendations for how the full-time TUI faculty (charged with course development and maintenance) should be trained in usability principles and how the usability of their products (individual courses) should be tested and monitored. It is to remember that TUI courses are structured within the same five-module learning structure, consisting of introduction, case, background, and project.
