Introduction

Post traumatic stress disorder or (PTSD) is a psychological and mental problem that usually occurs to a person on severe conditions and its outcome could be dangerous and threatening; following are some events that cause this disease to rise in human mind (Hoge, et al, 2004).

A person can become the patient of this disease after the occurrence of some major disaster.

This disease is found normally in Soldiers especially when they are in a state of war.

In case of forced events like rape and sexual abuse

After suffering a serious accident

An abnormal delivery of a child

Posttraumatic stress disorder is a common disease but its symptoms are diverse depending on the status and reason of individual suffering from it. However, it has been observed that one of the most usual symptoms of this disease is that person effecting from it will continuously experience tragic experiences frequently in dreams, flashbacks while doing work, and he will more often than not remain disturbed and his concentration level will decrease. (Litz, et al, 2005).

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is currently found to be a most common health disease found in military officials, commanders especially those officers that have lead their life in fighting different wars, and are constantly involved in war making strategies. The growth of this psychological disease has taken a jump after the 9/11 attack as several military officials are found to be spending longer periods of their life in unhealthy atmospheres and dangerous circumstances.

Purpose of the Study

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of posttraumatic stress disease on those military personnel that are frequently exposed to war zone situations, further; the researcher in this study will try to identify the actual figures of the presence of PTSD among different aspects of military forces 2006-2011. In addition, this study will emphasize on identifying the impact of PTSD patient and their effect on the people close to them, in order to achieve the defined objective the research has developed certain hypothesis. Based on the hypothesis certain questions have been drafted that will prove the above-defined scenario. (Wah, et al, 2008)

Hypothesis

Following hypothesis were developed by the research for this study, with the prime purpose of analyzing posttraumatic stress disorder and its effect on military officer
